Her work with Public Strategies As a managing director with Public Strategies, Laurie Dalton White develops and implements corporate campaign strategies for a variety of Public Strategies’ clients. She has managed and executed campaign strategies for Fortune 500 clients involved in legislative, regulatory and public reputation campaigns.
Most recently, White created a series of statewide women’s conferences, which are the largest in the country. Working with state and corporate leaders, White launched conferences in Texas, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Florida with the mission of creating the premier career development and networking opportunities for the women of that state.
With attendance at these conferences exceeding 20,000 annually, White and her team are responsible for the profit and loss of each conference, specifically handling all sponsor acquisition, program development, speaker recruitment, marketing, strategic partnerships, attendee growth and logistics. Approximately 100 nationally recognized speakers are recruited to participate in each conference’s keynote and breakout sessions, to address topics on leadership, career development, finance, health and entrepreneurship.
Prior to her conference work, White managed multiple corporate campaigns for clients including a global communications provider, a major national airline and a large energy company.
Her earlier work Before joining Public Strategies, White served as legislative liaison to former Texas Lieutenant Governor Bob Bullock, and she was his designee on the statewide “Save Our Schools” initiative.
Previously, White worked as a lobbyist at Hughes & Luce, L.L.P., specializing in transportation, healthcare and education issues. She also served as a legislative director at one of Texas’ foremost trade associations. She began her career as the political fundraising director for former Texas Lieutenant Governor Bill Hobby.
