Ellie is responsible for developing short and long-term business strategy, improving cross-organizational alignment and collaboration, leading business development and expanding product and financial donations. She manages a team responsible for securing hundreds of millions of dollars of product and cash annually to support thousands of charities serving millions in need.
Ellie has a solid record of achievement in leading complex membership, marketing, business development, communications and human resources functions. She has proven her ability to propel membership, market share, and revenues in each of the organizations for which she worked. Prior to coming to Good360, Ellie was at AARP for 11 years where she twice served as interim Associate Executive Director of Membership before being appointed as EVP and Chief People Officer. In her former role there, Ellie increased membership revenue by $41 million, strengthened magazine readership and ad sales and steered the launch of AARP’s first national annual member event. In her latter role, she spearheaded development and implementation of a first-ever enterprise-wide people strategy to build a high performing workforce, drove employee engagement to world-class levels, and introduced numerous innovative programs that helped AARP get distinction through numerous awards and rankings.
Ellie earned a BA in Economics and French from Duke University and later graduated from the Duke Fuqua School of Business’ Advanced Management Program. Honored by the Washington Business Journal as one of its Women Who Mean Business, Ellie is a member of the George Washington University School of Business Corporate Collaborative Council, a member of the Board of Directors for the International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruiters and a former member of the Board of Gifts In Kind International.
