Q. How does the donation process work?
A. While each process is unique, generally, once a donor has determined what items it is donating, the Product Donation Agreement is completed and sent to Good360. The donation form provides relevant information about the items being donated, the timing and the fair market value. Once Good360 receives the form, we make arrangements with the donor to take possession of the inventory and distribute it to nonprofits that meet the eligibility guidelines for the program. Good360 also provides the donor with an acknowledgement letter and tax information.

Q. How are you funded?
A. Good360 receives most of its funding from shipping and handling fees received from the recipient organizations to cover the costs associated with managing donation programs. Additionally, some companies assist by making cash grants to fund the management costs of their donation programs. Lastly, we also receive some cash grants for our general operating costs from individuals, foundations and companies.

Q. Does Good360 handle all of the transportation associated with the donated items?
A. Good360 facilitates all of the transportation arrangements, but often the donating company will provide the shipment to Good360’s distribution center(s) and/or the designated recipient nonprofit organization.

Q. How are shipping and handling fees paid by recipient organizations determined?
A. The fees are based upon the costs associated with managing the specific donation program, which includes customer service support to the donor and the recipients, transportation, logistics, warehousing costs, data entry and general operating overhead costs. It should be noted that Good360 is one of the most cost-efficient charities and operates at less than 1 percent of the value of products distributed on an annual basis.

Q. How is the donation value determined?
A. Good360 relies upon the donating company to provide the fair market value of the products donated.

Q. Does Good360 accept product donations from individuals?
A. No. Good360 can only accept product donations from companies; however, individuals can donate cash to support our services for nonprofits.

Q. Does Good360 accept used products from companies?
A. No. Good360 only accepts newly manufactured products from companies, with the exception of technology equipment. Good360 can accept donations of refurbished computers and equipment that meet usability guidelines. These donations are accepted if there are at least 10 units available.

Q. Are there minimum or maximum quantity or value requirements?
A. With the exception of the used technology equipment donations, there is no minimum or maximum limits on the quantity of items or the frequency of donations. Good360 determines its donation acceptance policies on the data routinely collected from our nonprofit partners about their product needs. Generally, no gift is too small or too large, and we can assist companies with on-going, one-time or once-in-awhile donations.

Q. Can smaller companies make product donations?
A. Yes, smaller companies can donate through Good360. We can work with companies of all sizes.

Q. Can Good360 accept donations outside of the United States?
A. Yes, Good360 can manage product donations from virtually any location in the world.

Q. Can Good360 distribute products that are donated from within the United States to charities internationally?
A. Yes,Good360 can manage product donations from virtually any location in the world.

Q. How does Good360 operate during times of natural and manmade disaster situations?
A. In general, Good360 works with the federal, state and local first-responder organizations to assess and determine the need for products. Once the needs are known, Good360 works with its donor partners to acquire the products. Then, using its network of charitable partners and the federal, state and local first responder organizations, Good360 develops a secure and efficient distribution framework to get the products distributed where they are most needed.
