How We Operate

Linking Corporate Donor Resources with Communities and People In Need
For Gifts In Kind International, everyone is part of the solution to healthy
and robust community life - companies (large and small), charities,
nonprofits, national
trade associations, and individuals who give small amounts of
money to help get products to the people who need them most: |
1. We work with nearly half of the Fortune 100 technology, consumer,
and retail product corporations and thousands of smaller companies to create,
implement, and manage their product donation program. These partners donate
a wide variety of new, critically needed products, including technology,
education supplies, clothing and shoes, personal-care items, furniture, housewares,
appliances, toys, and much more.
2. We handle the logistics of product donations from corporate partners
to community charities worldwide.
Gifts In Kind can pick up these
items anywhere in the corporate distribution and sales chain: from
warehouses, stores,
manufacturing plants, trade shows, and even catalog photo shoots.
We then use our flexible, cost-efficient transportation and storage
network to quickly move the
products to the communities and people who need them the most. Our
individual cash donors enable us to keep shipping and handling charges
very low for recipient community charities.
3. We then help corporations screen and select the community charities
to receive their donations.
Gifts In Kind has a large network of widely diverse, vetted community charities across the United States
and throughout the world.
These nonprofits, in turn, help millions of people in need...communities
devastated by natural disasters, people with disabilities, children
in hospitals, the families of U.S. soldiers,
unemployed or underemployed adults and their children, students and
educators in impoverished areas, abused women, and so many more
people.
4. We also ensure thorough accountability by regularly monitoring
and reporting to corporate partners about who received their donations, how their
contributions were used, and how the communities and individuals benefit.
