In Kind® Santa Maria is a vital link between donors
of goods and services and local nonprofit agencies.
Gifts
In Kind® Santa Maria has the privilege of managing in-kind
donations received through partnerships with Gifts In Kind
International as well as our Retail Donation Partners. Through
our program, in-kind donations from such nationally known
companies like Staples, Office Depot, Bed Bath & Beyond
as well as many others, are distributed to local nonprofit
organizations.
Gifts
In Kind® Santa Maria operates as an internal program of
the United Way of the Central Coast. Program office and Distribution

Gifts In Kind® Santa Maria Distribution Center
Since
opening in 2000, hundreds of thousand of dollars worth of
donated goods has passed through the center. In 2002, tons
of merchandise flowed through the brand new distribution center
and provided assistance to over sixty nonprofit organizations
and those they serve from Atascadero to Santa Barbara.
Over
sixty (60) nonprofit organizations visit the distribution
center once a week. Each week truckloads of merchandise is
picked up and made available to these agencies.
