National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions (NACHRI)

As part of its generous philanthropic programs, Mattel has established a unique partnership with the National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions (NACHRI) through which 210 children’s hospitals will be able to request donated toys year-round. The donation program is administered by Gifts In Kind International.

As the largest toy manufacturer in the world, Mattel seeks to make a meaningful difference – one child at a time. Partnering with NACHRI, and with the support of Gifts In Kind International, Mattel will be able to continue that commitment and distribute almost one million toys to children in children’s hospitals throughout the country.

TOY PROGRAM

Toys will be available in ‘kits’ applicable for specific age groups and various program areas including: play carts, waiting and playrooms, as well as other support programs providing toys to patients. Each kit is approximately 150 items and will consist of an assortment of toys (cannot guarantee exact quantity or assortment). NACHRI members may request toys throughout the year, up to two times for a total quantity per hospital of 300 toys. Thanks to Mattel’s generous support of the program, Gifts In Kind International is able to extend a complimentary annual charity registration to all NACHRI members providing a direct link to nearly $800 million annually in new product donations, including Mattel’s generous toy donations.
